Urban Walks – Barwon River – Fyansford

Well known for our coastal and bush walks around Australia, we’ve now added Urban Walks to suit nearly all levels of fitness and experience.

In association with the City of Greater Geelong, BANG Fitness Adventures have compiled a series of urban walks along well formed tracks, and combining with local Geelong business to showcase what Geelong has to offer in the way of activities and hospitality.

The Barwon River holds a special place in Geelong’s history and our walk will take in the northern section up to the old Paper Mills with lots of stunning views along the way to enjoy.

Meet at 9.00am at the Fyansford Hotel Car Park, 67 Hyland Street, Fyansford Vic. (It’s about ten minutes west of the Geelong CBD)

We will walk around 10-12kms on sealed track and well formed paths around the Barwon River and finish where we started, grabbing a coffee and cake on the way at the Fyansford Hotel.

BYO water, hat, sunnies, and hand sanitiser!

It will be a leisurely pace so if it has been a while since you’ve walked that far it will be the perfect opportunity to get back into it.

Saturday 1st May 2021 – 9:00am – 11:30pm

Cost $67 includes cafe morning tea and coffee.
